Policing an area as diverse and important as the City of London brings with it unique challenges, quite unlike anywhere else in the country. As well as being the country’s business centre and major tourist destination, the City has developed a vibrant night-time economy. More people than ever visit concerts, bars, clubs and restaurants within the Square Mile after work and at weekends, as well as coming to experience its cultural heritage.
The continuing threats to the City from terrorism and fraud-related crime remain constant and consequently, are key priorities. Our remit as the national policing lead for economic and cyber crime and business crime continues to expand.
There’s never been a better time to join the City of London Police. We want you to grow your career with us and be part of a service which puts its people and its communities at the heart of everything we do. Our approach to policing can be summed up by three words: professionalism, integrity and compassion.
Policing and crime is constantly changing and we not only respond to those changes but evolve with them, to ensure we offer the best service we can, whether that’s through harnessing technology, investing in our people or developing inspirational leaders.
We expect great things of our people – and we support and nurture them in order to deliver, whether that’s working closely with our business and resident populations or tackling fraud and cybercrime nationally and internationally. We welcome people eager to make a difference and feel satisfied that they are part of a team.
The City of London Police is somewhere you can thrive and progress, confident you can make a significant contribution to keeping those who live, work and visit the City safe and feeling safe and protecting the UK from the threat of economic and cyber crime.
