About Us

The ambition is simple; to create an exemplar new part of our capital city that is safer, greener and more prosperous; a super-connected place of opportunity for those who already live, work and invest here, and for the many more who will follow in the generations to come.

“The £1.7bn public investment in Old Oak Common – the largest ever constructed in the UK – and the substantial adjacent development sites, are the catalyst for lasting physical, social and environmental regeneration. The scale of change here is huge; up to 25,000 new and affordable homes, tens of thousands of new jobs, parks, leisure and community amenities, all fully integrated into a sustainable, dynamic and inclusive economy with rapid local, regional, national and international connectivity.”

Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London

OPDC’s Vision, mission and values

Our vision: A place where global opportunities are lived and shared locally.

By creating a completely new district, with first class connectivity across London and beyond, our vision is to make global opportunities local, offering better choices and life chances to everyone living, working and visiting Old Oak and Park Royal, with benefits extending to the rest of our capital city and the regions of the UK.

Our existing and nearby communities are a celebration of London’s diversity, with its rich history of immigration and multiculturalism, bringing cultures, cuisines, insights and perspectives from across the globe into a vibrant, diverse and bustling district.

Our mission: To maximise the potential of the new Old Oak Common Station and deliver outstanding and innovative regeneration, positively impacting the lives and the environment for everyone in the community.

We will organise and manage the land and infrastructure around the new Old Oak Common superhub to ensure that we make the most of the scale of adjacent development sites to deliver exemplar and eco-friendly regeneration, creating many thousands of new and affordable homes, a wide range of employment and a great place, with many new amenities, living streets and high quality services.
