Terms & Conditions

Specific detail will be defined at the point of offer, but the core elements are:

Duties

The Employee appointed will act as Director of Shared Ownership and Leaseholders.

Salary: £90,000 – £110,000.

The duties the colleague is required to carry out are detailed in the attached job description.

While working at home, the colleague must manage the potentially conflicting demands of work and family, and endeavour to work in an organised manner.

Hours of work

The aggregate number of hours of work that the colleague is required to undertake is 35 each week, to be worked at such times and on such days of the week as the colleague determines, subject to clauses below.

  • As long as service levels and standards can be maintained. In some cases, this may mean that hours to be worked will need to be agreed as a team to ensure that service delivery can be achieved during service operating hours.
  • The Employer reserves the right to require you to exceed the aggregate weekly hours that you are required to undertake in order to meet the requirements of its business.
  • Remove this flexibility if we reasonably believe that it is being abused or not satisfactorily meeting the needs of our customers or our business.

Holidays

The Employer’s holiday year shall run from 1 April to 31 March.

The Employee shall be entitled to 30 days’ holiday in each holiday year together with the usual public holidays in England. If the Appointment commences or terminates part way through a holiday year, the Employee’s entitlement during that holiday year shall be calculated on a pro rata basis rounded up to the nearest half day.

Performance Management/Goal setting

Annually colleagues will be set targets in line with corporate plan. The employer reserves the right to adjust the targets throughout the year based on evolving business needs.  Performance against these targets will be assessed by the colleague’s line manager throughout the course of the year, in accordance with our internal processes.

One to Ones

The colleagues line manager will conduct at least monthly one to one meetings with the colleague. These meetings will cover performance against the agreed targets, general conduct in line with the PA Housing values and behavioural expectations, support and development needs, and colleague wellbeing considerations.

Home working allowance

PA Housing will pay a monthly allowance of £15.00 to all home working colleagues, in line with HMRC guidelines. This is to cover the cost of all incidental costs associated with home working such as light and heat, telephone and internet lines, and sundry items of stationery.

Health and safety issues

We are legally obliged to ensure the health and safety of homeworkers in the same way as office-based staff. We are therefore required to ensure that:

  • all equipment is safe.
  • all articles and substances are handled and stored safely.
  • an assessment of your workstation is conducted.
  • information and training on the safe use of equipment, including display screen equipment, is provided; and
  • relevant risk assessments are carried out.
